Runs a deterministic action, such as a tool, API call, or workflow-local inline action.
Behavior¶
Invokes a tool, API call, or workflow-local inline action directly. Parameter values are rendered through the merge-field template engine.
You can add this node from the workflow editor add-node menu when building a flow.
- Action nodes can call shared tools or workflow-local inline tools. Inline tools are saved with the workflow and can be selected by any Action node in that workflow.
- If a required input is missing or invalid, conversation-backed runs can ask for the missing value and then retry the action.
